Stage Door

Stage Door Performance Troupe 2018-19

Our Stage Door performance troupe has been a part of our program for years but many but many Crow families do not know about this exciting opportunity for older students who demonstrate dedication, drive and a desire to take their theatre arts education to the next level. And, beginning Fall 2019 we are excited to announce our debut season for our new performance troupe for kids ages 8-12... Overture! First, let us introduce to you the current members of Stage Door!

Stage Door is an advanced program for students with the experience, dedication and desire to continue their training in theatre arts. Our Stage Door team members take weekly classes in vocal and dance technique, attend regular team rehearsals, and receive private vocal instruction.

Performance Opportunities

Stage Door performs at local and regional community centers, special events, festivals, assisted living centers, libraries, children's hospitals and more. Team members help lead workshops and classes for younger students while gaining leadership skills and learning to give back to their community.

A few highlights from our Stage Door 2018-19 season thus far include performances at the Eugene Saturday Market, Peterson Barn Community Center, All Hallows Eugene, Emerald Valley Assisted Living Center, Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, Oakway Mall, and more.

Junior Theater Festival

Currently Stage Door is preparing for the Junior Theatre Festival to be held in Sacramento, California in February 2018. Stage Door will be in attendance with dozens of other student musical theatre troupes. Each troupe performs 15 minutes from a Broadway Junior show for adjudication by a panel of musical theatre experts. Teams also take workshops from Broadway professionals and meet other musical theatre kids from around the country and the world! There are student and teacher awards, a dance party, and concludes with a one-of-a-kind concert produced just for JTF participants, headlined by Broadway stars such as Megan Hilty, Darren Criss, and Pasek and Paul!

Team Bonding

Stage Door team members also spend time together outside of classes and rehearsals, bonding and sharing their love of Broadway musicals. Stage Door attends community and touring theatre productions, movie musicals, and hosts a monthly musical theatre movie night at the Crow.
