Stage Two Classes

 SingOutBroadwayStreetsclass

SING OUT! BROADWAY STREETS

The focus for this class is to take the Broadway songs and learn the technique, breath control and volume to sing them with confidence. With a strong foundation in Stage 1, students are not ready to learn how to use their more mature voice. From head voice to chest voice, students recognize range, pitch and sight singing to help them make the most of their onstage performance.

Vocalists will work on pitch and breath control, sight reading, harmonies, volume, and vocal cord health. This is a Stage 2 vocal class designed to further a vocalist's training and projection, while working in an ensemble setting. Using Broadway show tunes, students will explore how to use their voice and breathing to increase volume and better diction.

Navigating the stage smoothly, adding transition movement to avoid bumping into your partner, how to adjust to spacing on stage and partner dancing are all part of the fun in musical theatre and certainly add important skills to any actor's tool box.
